A textile spinning station has one or more components with a plastic surface having self-cleaning ('Lotus effect') properties. The plastic surface is constantly flushed by air suction. The surface does not come into contact with water during operation. The plastic component is e.g. a tube or a textile air-permeable fiber transporting conveyer belt (13) passing through a pneumatic compression zone (12).
