The plate seats (5,6) on the tool body (2) are identical and symmetric to the tool rotation axis and take identical cutter plates (3,4). Each plate has face (7,8) and circumferential cutting edges (7,8 and 12,14) as well as corner cutting edges (9,11). All the cutting edges are identically positioned in both radial and axial directions and the upper faces of the cutter plates are offset in parallel, all edges being equal in length and of identical shape. The face cutting edges (7,8) extend to a center enclosing the tool rotation axis and the circumferential edges (12,14) are arranged on an identical surface concentric to the rotation axis specified. |
