<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium absorption promoter having a magnesium absorption promoting effect and expected to have other various biologically active functions, and to provide a magnesium supplement. <P>SOLUTION: The magnesium absorption promoter and the magnesium supplement each contains a peptide which is a decomposition product of royal jelly by a protease and has a molecular weight of 500-3,000.
