<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base fabric for working a disk which provides high accuracy and high efficiency in working, and a manufacturing method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The base fabric for working a disk is a sheet type article including a fiber, the base fabric is characterized in that a water permeation rate from a surface side is 0.5 to 5.0 mg/cm<SP>2</SP>sec and a water permeation rate from a back side is 6 to 100 mg/cm<SP>2</SP>sec. Further, it is preferable that a drop absorption rate of the surface is 0.01 to 5 sec/15μl and a drop absorption rate of the back is 600 sec/15 μl or more. The manufacturing method therefor is characterized in that a solution containing a water repellent is applied in an amount of 5 to 200 g/m<SP>2</SP>to the one surface of the sheet type article which contains fibers and in which all layers show hydrophilicity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
