<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining an optimum deposition order by considering a spectral characteristic of an ink, and to provide a method and a device for forming an image each capable of forming a high-density image (an image with a wide color reproduction area) under the condition of an identical ink and an identical amount of a deposited droplet. <P>SOLUTION: This method of determining the deposition sequence of droplets of color inks comprises the process of acquiring information of a reflection density OD_β(α) on a color area in a deposited droplet sample obtained by using an ink of a first color α as a single color, the first color being a complementary color of a second color β, the process of acquiring information of a reflection density OD_α(β) on a color area in a deposited droplet sample obtained by using the ink of the second color β as a single color, the second color being a complementary color of the first color α, and the process of determining the deposition sequence of droplets wherein the ink of the color that represents the smaller value in the values OD_β(α), OD_α(β) is deposited first and the ink of the color that represents the larger value, is deposited later. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
