<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for reducing delay time of channel zapping and the waste of bands when it is necessary to frequently change channels such as channel surfing. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes: a broadcast server for generating both high-quality broadcast data and low-quality broadcast data corresponding to each broadcasting channel and sending the high-quality broadcast data and the low-quality broadcast data via a router; an OLT for receiving the low-quality broadcast data from the broadcast server and forwarding the received low-quality broadcast data via an ONU/ONT; and a set-top box which stores the low-quality broadcast data received from the OLT, provides low-quality broadcast data corresponding to a selected channel, when there is selection for changing channels, and sends a channel selection request message to the router to receive the high-quality broadcast data when the high-quality broadcast data is requested. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
