<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decomposing biodegradable plastic that can decompose biodegradable plastic even under a low temperature condition by mixing oil and fat or alcohol to the biodegradable plastic in addition to organic waste. <P>SOLUTION: Oil or fat 33 or alcohol 34 in an amount of 1 to 10 pts.wt. is mixed to 10 pts.wt. of biodegradable plastic 31 and 10 to 500 pts.wt. of organic waste 32 and the mixture is kept for a prescribed time to decompose the biodegradable plastic. The organic waste 32 is prepared by mixing 10 to 1,000 pts.wt. of the decomposition waste 35 after treatment to 100 pts.wt. of the organic waste before treatment 32. The oil and fat 33 or alcohol 34 are consumed as a nutrition for the microorganism decomposing the biodegradable plastic to activate the microorganism sleeping with low temperature.
