PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas bubble detecting method for an opaque molten resin capable of detecting easily a gas bubble within a desired size range existing in the opaque molten resin, by visualizing the gas bubble. SOLUTION: The gas bubble visualized by bringing the gas bubble into contact with a transparent member is observed by making a molten resin compound flow in a flow passage having a thickness less than a gas bubble thickness along a direction of observing the minimum gas bubble of a detection object, out of the gas bubbles existing in the molten opaque molten resin, and having at least one face, of wall faces, formed of the transparent member.
