PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording/reproducing system in which information being recorded simultaneously with video image and voice can be selected, while reducing the size of a camera body by providing the function of acquiring sensor information via a USB terminal or an AV terminal mounted standardly, in a video apparatus such as a digital camera or a video camera. SOLUTION: Since the communications device is arranged to perform communication with an imaging apparatus, by using a general purpose communication terminal such as a USB terminal, recording/reproduction using various sensors can be carried out, without causing significant cost increase. A dedicated terminal for acquiring sensor information is not required; and even if the sensor is secured with an accessary shoe which is not a hot shoe, the imaging apparatus can acquire sensor information by using a USB cable.
