PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a programming device for easily performing the monitoring of a program and a debugging operation and preventing the leakage of know-how, and to provide its information display method. SOLUTION: The programming device 1 includes: a display area selecting means 4 for designating a range among the display area of the program displayed by a display means with the use of an input means such as a mouse and a keyboard; an attribute setting means 6 for setting display attribute information with respect to the display area which is selected by the display area selecting means 4; a data storage means 7 for storing the set display attribute information by one-to-one correspondence to each instruction code in the program; and a block display means 8 for decoding the display attribute information stored in the data storage means 7 and performing the collective displaying of the areas with an attribute set therein by a display form being different from that of the program.
