PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate attachment of a blowing device in an outdoor unit having an electrical component box in regard to an outdoor unit for an air conditioner, and to realize sharing of a support member for a blowing device between multiple types of air conditioners. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit X for the air conditioner comprises a compressor 15, a heat exchanger 10, the blowing device Z, the blowing device support member Y, the electrical component box 12, and a casing 14 or the like for housing them. It is composed such that the electrical component box 12 is provided on a top part of a sending fan housing chamber 18, and an upper end of the blowing device support member Y erected on a bottom face 14c of the casing 14 of the outdoor unit X, and extending in a vertical direction is attached to a lower face of the electrical component box 12.
