PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing irregular yarn, capable of producing the irregular yarn having irregularity of a natural feeling, by using an ordinary spinning frame, without requiring a specified fine spinning frame. SOLUTION: This irregular yarn is produced by throwing raw stock containing many of short fibers, such as comber noil, into a recovery feeder 10, and then supplying the raw stock to a card 20 therefrom, so that a carded sliver (a) is formed. Further, two threads of the carded slivers (a) are arranged in parallel and directly supplied to a roving frame 30, so that roved yarn (b) is formed. Furthermore, two threads of the roved yarn (b) are arranged in parallel and supplied to a fine spinning frame 40, so that fine spun yarn (c) is formed as the irregular yarn. Because the raw stock contains many of the short fibers and the carded slivers in which parallelism between fibers is poor are directly supplied to the roving frame, the irregularity of the natural feeling is formed in the fine spun yarn.
