PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive system position control device for an image forming device, capable of executing stop position control of favorable precision in spite of accumulation of eccentricity and run-out of a carrying roller, temperature change, eccentricity and run-out of a drive pulley and a cord wheel, and effects of parts precision and assemblage precision such as thickness deviation or the like of a carrying belt. SOLUTION: Motion of the carrying belt is detected by an encoder sensor to execute position control for paper feeding in this drive system position control device for an image forming device. A plurality of sensor marks 108 are provided in parallel to the moving direction of the carrying belt 102, and a plurality of encoder sensors 105 are provided at respective positions facing the plurality of the sensor marks 108.
