PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioner for vehicle which can execute an automatic stopping control of an engine while ensuring the air conditioning in a cabin over a comparatively long period of time even when getting involved in a traffic congestion or the like. SOLUTION: When the possibility that the engine automatic stopping is executed is large, an air-mixing damper 18 is set to be, e. g., under a totally open state, at the time of cooling prior to the engine automatic stopping. Also, an air-feeding amount is reduced, and thus, the air-conditioning capacity is accumulated. This control is continued until the traveling state of a vehicle becomes stable, and the air-conditioning capacity is recovered even when the automatic stopping control of the engine is completed.
