PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fin material for brazing which is excellent in strength after brazing heating, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, corrugating formability and further resistance to diffusion of a brazing filler metal during brazing heating and also to provide a method for stably manufacturing this fin material. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the fin material for brazing, an aluminum alloy containing, by mass, >1.0 to 2.2% Fe and >0.2 to 2.0% Si is cast at≥10°C/s cooling rate of molten metal and final process annealing at≤0.1 mm sheet thickness is performed at 300 to 480°C to recrystallize the aluminum alloy. Then a rolled stock having a crystal structure in which the resultant recrystallized grain having a size of≥10 mm in length in a rolling direction comprises≥80% of the surface area viewed from a surface layer is subjected to final cold rolling at≤30% draft.
