<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer having an excellent tone-reproduction linearity. <P>SOLUTION: The printer makes an electrostatic latent image formed which expresses a 1-pixel tone by controlling a 1st or n-th exposure place with different exposure while making a photoconductor drum exposed by detaching the exposure positions sensed by LED elements for exposure from the 1st exposure position until the n-th exposure position for every designated distance, while piling up at least a part of adjoining exposure places at the time of forming 1-pixel by a plurality of exposure from the 1st exposure place until the n-th exposure place under the control of a controlling section 20 and LED head controlling section 24. At this time, the printer arranges the n-th exposure place from the 1st exposure place expressing the 1-pixel tone in the place where the total sum of the difference of optical density obtained by adjoining exposure patterns for each of these exposure patterns gets minimum when performing an exposure by the 2nd<SP>n</SP>exposure pattern from the 1st exposure pattern obtaining the different optical density. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
