PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for switching a light source used for generating an image in a virtual space to a suitable light source depending on the position of a user viewpoint. SOLUTION: When a real space is divided into a plurality of regions, it is determined to which one of divided regions the position of the viewpoint belongs (S1040). The image in the virtual space viewed from the viewpoint of an observer is generated (S1060) by using data relating to the light source corresponding to the divided region determined, as that the position of the viewpoint belongs to, out of the plurality of types of light sources which can be set to the virtual space, and the generated image is output to an external.
