PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information generation device which can generate highly reliable identification information. SOLUTION: The information generation device is equipped with; an irradiation section which irradiates two or more fingers in a hand arranged at prescribed arrangement positions with imaging lights individually; each imaging device which outputs imaging lights with which the fingers are individually irradiated from the irradiation section as image signals respectively; and a pattern extraction means which extracts patterns of corresponding each finger which is expressed in each image signal that is output from the imaging device as identification information. Thereby, a pattern of each finger can be extracted as identification information from a blood vessel image signal which is reduced in noise component corresponding to a curve distortion of aberration in an optical system resulted from short distance to the imaging device concerned.
