PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polycarbonate diol useful as a raw material compound for producing a polycarbonate-based polyurethane excellent in waterproof property, creep characteristic and pencil hardness, also without leaving a tack on the surface of the resin and being amorphous. SOLUTION: This polycarbonate diol is characterized by consisting of a recurring unit expressed by formula (A), and having both terminals of hydroxy groups and 300-10,000 number-average molecular weight.
