PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter circuit capable of performing a wideband operation, and to provide a frequency multiplier using the filter circuit. SOLUTION: The filter circuit suppresses a fundamental wave signal inputted from an input terminal 1, passes a second harmonic signal, outputs it from an output terminal 2 and has one transmission line 3 of the arbitrary length L1 connected between the input terminal 1 and the output terminal 2, a short stub 4 of the arbitrary length L2 connected to one end on the side of the input terminal 1 of the transmission line 3 and an open stub of the length L3 which is a half wavelength of the second harmonic signal connected to one end of the side of the output terminal 2 of the transmission line 3.
