PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present document data being beyond expectation of the user. SOLUTION: A retrieval key for a registration date or the like of registration incidental information is set (74). Contents of information of the retrieval key of registration incidental information are changed in accordance with a prescribed method (76). That is, when the registration date is February 1, 2005, it is changed to respective dates from January 25, 2005 to January 31 and from February 2 to February 8. Document data stored correspondingly to inputted information is retrieved from a storage device 26 by the changed information (78), and a retrieval result is displayed on a display device 42 (80).
