PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector improving convenience by effectively utilizing a cover member. SOLUTION: The projector is provided with: a light source 51 emitting light; an optical conversion part 54 having a conversion part 55 for converting light from the light source 51 into a video on the basis of image data; a projection lens 59 enlarging and projecting the video converted by the optical conversion part 54; and a cover member 100 supported to freely turn through a shaft on a projector body 2 and opening/shutting the edge part of the projection lens 59. The cover member 100 functions as the leg of the projector 1 and a tilt mechanism when it opens the edge part of the projection lens 59 and is located at a predetermined position.
