PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soot blower capable of suppressing costs by reducing complication relevant to a machining process of a groove, reducing bearing pressure generated in a contact part of the groove and a pin, eliminating the need to supply a lubricant, in other words, eliminating the need for a lubricant supplying device, and simplifying a structure. SOLUTION: The soot blower is provided with a lance tube 2 supported so as to turn and reciprocate in a housing 1 and having a nozzle 2a at a tip, and a cylindrical cam 5 fixed concentrically with respect to the lance tube 2 and having spiral grooves 5a on an outer circumferential face.
