PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the charge of polymer particulates in an aqueous dispersion in which the charge of polymer particulates can be controlled by a simple method while maintaining the particle size of the polymer particulates dispersed in the aqueous dispersion. SOLUTION: The method for controlling the charge of polymer particulates in an aqueous dispersion with oxygen dissolved therein comprises irradiating the polymer particulates dispersed in the aqueous dispersion with ultraviolet light to reform the surface state of the polymer particulates.
