PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition capable of giving a light-reflecting molded article, with excellent dimensional stability at the time of molding, that is excellent in heat resistance, has a very high surface gloss, permits direct formation of a light-reflecting metal layer without coating an undercoat or the like thereon, has high specularity/high brilliant feeling, and exhibits excellent retention of surface external appearances when used at high temperatures (heat resistance) and excellent adhesion to a metal layer. SOLUTION: The polyester resin composition for the molded article for obtaining the light-reflecting molded article having the light-reflecting metal layer formed thereon comprises (A) 100 pts.mass of a polyester resin mainly composed of an alkylene terephthalate recurring unit and, incorporated therewith, (B) 1-50 pts.mass of a plate-like inorganic filler having an average diameter of the equivalent circle of 0.05-5μm and an average aspect ratio of 5-50, and (C) 0-5 pts.mass of a mold release agent.
