The vehicle seat (1) has an unlocking mechanism (24) which operates the rail unlocking system on folding the backrest (5) from the use position into the functional position in the first partial area. The rail unlocking system is released for locking the longitudinal locking device in the consecutive second pivoting range. A spring mechanism is provided in the seat framework (2) which pulls the seat framework in the rear most position by releasing the locking device.
