<p>Disclosed herein are an SMD varistor and a method of manufacturing the SMD varistor. The SMD varistor is constructed so that two ceramic bodies are integrally connected in parallel. Thus, voltage of the SMD varistor is equal to that of a conventional product using one ceramic body, but the surge absorbing capability of the SMD varistor dependent on the current is doubled. The present invention is capable of efficiently suppressing high-energy surges generated in a car, especially a load dump generated when a motor is started, thus efficiently coping with EMC required in cars.</p>
