PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high-speed processing in an integrated circuit by simplifying configuration in an integrated circuit, such as a laser driver.

SOLUTION: A laser output control device 100 is equipped with; an input means (103, etc.) through which a superimposed signal in which a control signal which controls a driving means (108) is superimposed on a recording signal in which recording information is modulated based on a prescribed modulation system (NRZI) is made to be inputted; a detection means (104) which detects a control signal (a space of "12T") from the inputted superimposed signal; and a control means (10) which controls the driving means based on the detected control signal.
