<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can form images as intended by a user, in a simple and easy manner, when a developer of a prescribed color among developers of a plurality of colors runs short. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1, when forming a color image corresponding to input image data by using developers of a plurality of colors based on the input image data, stores a color which cannot be produced when a shortage of developer of the color as unproduceable color data into an internal memory of the body control section 100. Further, when the prescribed number of developers among the developers of the plurality of colors cannot be used, the image forming apparatus 1 selects the optimum color from among the colors which can be produced by combining the remaining developers and forms an image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
