PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal transmission method in a remote control which allows a user arbitrarily to change the change amount of continuous operation with respect to a specific function of electronic device. SOLUTION: In the key operation of a remote control 10, a signal transmitting speed at the time of more than a prescribed period of time carrying out the long depression of the specific key and a signal transmission method corresponding to the signal transmitting speed can be set up arbitrarily by the user, so that the signal transmission method in the remote control may be materialized wherein the number of signal transmitting pulses corresponding to long depression of a prescribed period of time and the number of signal transmitting data are made variable.
