<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security of secret data by redundant distribution without degrading retrieval performance of a database. <P>SOLUTION: A data management system 1 includes a management computer 3 and n (n≥3) sites 4a to 4n which are connected to the computer 3 via a network and are installed respectively in a plurality of physically separate areas, and the management computer 3 has a dividing function of redundantly dividing secret data being a management object into n<SB>0</SB>(n>n<SB>0</SB>≥2) kinds of sub-data groups, a fragmentation function of storing the divided sub-data groups in n<SB>0</SB>arbitrary sites 4, and a blank data storage function of storing blank data in n-n<SB>0</SB>other sites. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
