PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrical equipment capable of reducing a power supply from the electrical equipment such as domestic electrical equipment when a communication with a network is not required and a communication adapter capable of being connected to the electrical equipment. SOLUTION: The domestic electrical equipment 1 can be connected to the communication adapter 2 for a communication through the network. The domestic electrical equipment 1 has a power circuit 6, an operation-state monitor 5 monitoring the state of the domestic electrical equipment 1, and a feed-voltage changeover 7 changing a power supply voltage from the power circuit 6 to the communication adapter 2. The domestic electrical equipment 1 further has a control unit 9 controlling the feed-voltage changeover 7, so as to change the power supply voltage from the power circuit 6 to the communication adapter 2 in response to the state of the domestic electrical equipment 1 detected by the operation-state monitor 5.
