PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set up the sound quality desired by a user for a large amount of music data and to improve the operability. SOLUTION: An HDD 2 records the music data having tag information. An equalizer controller 12 reads the set-up sound quality information and IDs. The counter values are changed according to the operating frequencies of each table and recorded in the sound quality set-up memory 11. When an instruction is given from the CPU 13 to finish reproduction, the equalizer controller 12 reads out the IDs to discriminate the table having one of the sound qualities set up right before the end of reproduction, and the read ID is recorded to the tag information of reproduction completed music data. Thus, it automatically records the ID for the table having one of the set-up sound qualities used frequently in each tag information even in a case of a large amount of music data.
