PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device having simple construction permitting inexpensive manufacture and easy operation with relatively small operating drive force. SOLUTION: A first coil spring 2 is arranged in a case 1 with its terminal end 22 fixed to the case 1 and its front end 21 in a free condition. A locked rod R is inserted through the inside of the first coil spring 2 in the state of being fastened and locked with the spring force of the coil spring. A first unlocking actuator 4 is arranged in the case 1 for pushing/pulling the other end of the first coil spring 2 to the direction of opening the coil spring to unlock it.
