PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve responsiveness and measuring precision of intake air flow rate computed from a signal of an air flow meter. SOLUTION: In an intake air flow rate measuring device, while a suction port 26A of an air compressor 26 driven by an engine 10 is connected to an intake passage 12 of the engine 10, an air flow meter 16 for outputting a signal V corresponding to the intake air flow rate is arranged in the intake passage 12. On the basis of a signal from the air flow meter 16, the intake air flow rate Q is computed. On the basis of the rotation speed Ne of the engine 10, the periodicity T is set in which a signal is read from the air flow meter 16. The intake air flow rate Q is computed on the basis of a signal V read from the air flow meter 16 in the set periodicity T. By so doing, even if the signal V of the air flow meter 16 is fluctuated at a predetermined periodicity, the signal V can be read at the timing in response to the predetermined periodicity.
