PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door type damper and an air conditioner using the same, with less circulation resistance at opening of a flow passage, hardly generating noise. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner having a case formed with the flow passage 3 at the inside, an air mix damper 13 is provided in the flow passage 3. The air mix damper 13 is constituted such that it has a damper body 13a; and an approximately cylindrical bearing member 13b for supporting the damper body 13a so as to enable pivoting around one axis and movement in the one axis direction. The flow passage 3 is constituted such that it has a damper upstream part 3a stored with the damper body 13a and allowing pivoting action of the damper body 13a; and a damper downstream part 3b having a reduced flow passage cross section area than the damper upstream part 3a. Of an inner wall surface of the flow passage 3, a border part of the damper upstream part 3a and the damper downstream part 3b is made to an abutting part R for receiving a peripheral edge 13c of the damper body 13a at closing of the flow passage 3.
