APPARATUS, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR PREDICTING WEAR LOSS OF METAL DIE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to predict the wear loss of a metal die while a lubricant is sprayed with actuality for predicting the metal die wear loss. SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 for predicting the wear loss of the metal die, is provided with; a storage means 18 for storing a coefficient of friction and a coefficient of heat transfer while they are associated with each other in each spraying state of the lubricant onto the metal die ; a division means 24 for dividing into a plurality of sectional ranges based on the spraying state of the lubricant in the working range of the metal die; a retrieval means 26 for reading out the coefficient of friction and the coefficient of heat transfer corresponding to each sectional range divided with the spraying state of the lubricant as a retrieval key from the storage mean 18; an assignment means 28 for respectively assigning the read-out coefficient of friction and coefficient of heat transfer to each sectional range; and a wear loss prediction means 30 for predicting the wear loss of the metal die by using a friction stress obtained based on the coefficient of the friction assigned in each sectional range and the metal die temperature obtained based on the coefficient of heat transfer assigned in each sectional range.
