<p>An assembly for fixing a tablecloth ensures that the tablecloth does not slide on a table or that it cannot be pulled off the table, while the appearance of the laid table remains fully equal to the appearance of the table with a tablecloth laid freely. The assembly is suitable for application of tablecloths having a round, rectangular or elliptical shape. On the underside of the tablecloth there are four fixing elements arranged evenly. Two strips are attached to them under the table, sewn together as an attaching cross, by which two by two opposite fixing elements are bound together. The fixing elements are manufactured as trapezium-shape patches with their wider base sides sewn to the edge of the tablecloth and they overlap the edge of the table surface for several centimetres. Sections of patches, overlapping the edge of the table surface are sewn to the tablecloth by two stitches and wear optional attaching elements, e.g. buttons, hooks, velcro fasteners composed of loop and hook strips or press fasteners, to which the respective attaching elements on the attaching cross are fastened. In the case of bigger tablecloths two attaching crosses can be used, in a manner, namely, that the second cross is shifted for 45 degrees against the first one. There are multiple advantages of the solution according to the invention: a permanent ordeliness of the table is assured, as neither wind nor pulling off the tablecloth when sitting behind the table do not move the tablecloth from the position required. The fixing assembly also prevents the tablecloth from falling to the ground and assures hygiene in this way.</p> |
