It is intended to provide a method of forming an EPC colony at a high reproducibility and a method of analyzing the dynamics in the EPC differentiation in the body of a patient. More specifically speaking, it is intended to provide: a method of analyzing dynamics in the differentiation of vascular endothelial progenitor cells which comprises culturing angioblastic cells in a semisolid medium containing a vascular endothelial cell growth factor and a basic fibroblast growth factor, and evaluating the vascular endothelial progenitor cell colony formation mode; a method of forming a vascular endothelial progenitor cell colony which comprises culturing angioblastic cells in a semisolid medium containing a vascular endothelial cell growth factor and a basic fibroblast growth factor; a semisolid medium containing a vascular endothelial cell growth factor and a basic fibroblast growth factor; a kit for preparing the semisolid medium; and so on.
