Modified release formulations of at least one form of tramadol for oral administration

A modified release pharamaceutical composition which comprises a tablet that contains a core which consists of at least one form of tramadol selected from the group consisting of tramadol, enantiomers, pharamaceutically acceptable salts and combination thereof. A polymeric control release coating substantially surrounds the core. The polymeric constituents and the amounts contained in the coating are selected so that the tablet exhibits a delayed release of at least one form of tramadol.
