The invention relates to a document security strip, comprising a suport on which alternating generally-metallised and generally-transparent regions are formed along the longitudinal direction of the strip, said alternation providing a contract on a scale considered global with relation to the document for securing, such as to provide a protection against reproduction of the documents for securing with which said strip is associated, characterized in that the strip also comprises optically active elements in association with the regions which are generally-metallized and/or the regions which are generally-transparent on the strip, to provide an optical effect on a scale considered detail with relation to the document for securing, said optical effect permitting the production of a recognizable feature for identification of said document. The invention further relates to a security document incorporating the above strip. |
