Disclosed is the use of nucleoside compounds in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of a flavivirus or pestivirus infection, wherein: Base is a purine or pyrimidine base, R1 is H, mono, di or triphosphate, stabilised phosphate prodrug, acyl, an amino acid ester, carbohydrate, a peptide, or other pharmaceutically acceptable leaving group capable of providing a H or phosphate substituent, and R6 is alkyl, alkynyl, alkenyl, and R9 and R7 are independently OR1, hydroxyl, or -O(acyl). |
