<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active oxygen eliminator having excellent active oxygen-eliminating activity and suitably usable through adding it to various foods/drinks and various cosmetics, and to provide a method for producing the active oxygen eliminator. <P>SOLUTION: The active oxygen eliminator comprises composite particles with platinum group element(s) bound to or included in a dendritically branched molecule, wherein it is preferable that the platinum group element be at least one embodiment selected from Pt, Pd, PtRu and PtRd.
