PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system and the like capable of improving the versatility in determination of the position of the upper body of an object contained in imaging data.

SOLUTION: The image processing system comprises a USB camera 20 imaging the upper body of a player to generate imaging data 126; a differential image generation part 130 generating differential image data 128; an edge area data generation part 111 generating edge area data 122; a histogram generation part 112 generating a histogram based on the edge area data 122; a differential value computing part 113 computing a differential value showing an absolute value of the difference in pixel number for every predetermined area constituting the histogram; a shoulder position data generation part 114; and a position information generation part 115 generating position information of the upper body in a taken image.
