PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein usability is inferior, since received auxiliary information needs to be transmitted through a transmission line different from a TS transmission line for image and audio compressed codes for a connection between a receiving device and a transmitting device following it, when a multi-stage relay system of a receiving base station etc., for digital FPU transmits the receiving auxiliary information, such as TMCC information to the poststages. SOLUTION: A digital transmission system comprises a reception high-frequency portion which receives a transmitted signal containing at least a video signal, a reception control unit which at least demodulates the transmitted signal from the reception high-frequency control unit, a reception control unit which corrects errors, a reception auxiliary information generator which is applied from information regarding the reception state of the transmitted signal from the receiving high-frequency portion and reception control unit and generates the reception auxiliary information, and a data multiplexer which multiplexes the reception auxiliary information outputted from the reception auxiliary information generator, with the transmitted signal from the reception control unit.
