PROCESSING AGENT AND METHOD FOR TREATING SYNTHETIC FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing agent for treating a synthetic fiber, capable of preventing the occurrence of fluffs, yarn breaking and uneven dyeing by corresponding to recent speeding up of a spinning process and finishing process of the synthetic fiber; and to provide a method for treating the synthetic fiber. SOLUTION: The processing agent for treating the synthetic fiber contains 70 weight% or more of a specific base oil composition. The base oil composition includes 50-90 weight% of a component A, 3-30 weight% of a component B, 0.1-10 weight% of a component C and 0.1-20 weight% of a component D such that the components A-D together make up a total of 100 weight% of the base oil composition; wherein the component A is one or more selected from specified alkylene oxide addition compounds;the component B is one or more selected from other specified alkylene oxide addition compounds; the component C is one or more selected from ionic surfactants; and the component D is one or more selected from specific non-ionic surfactants.
