PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion ink containing water-phase dispersion of a carbon pigment, stably maintaining the rheology on aging, and usable in a digital printer. SOLUTION: The water-in-oil emulsion ink comprising a water phase and an oil phase wherein the water phase contains a mixture of a carbon black pigment having pH <6, with a weak acidic, neutral or alkaline carbon black pigment having pH≥6.
