PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device with a simple structure and light weight having a drawing structure of an energy absorption member capable of reducing manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: When a vehicle collides and a driver collides to a steering wheel not shown, an upper bracket 53 is removed from a vehicle body 7 by impact force at the secondary collision and a column 1 is moved to a front side of the vehicle body while it is guided by a pivot mounting pin 52. When the column 1 is moved to a front side of the vehicle body and a clearance L between the pivot mounting pin 52 and a round part 83 of a wire 8 made of metal is eliminated, the round part 83 of the wire 8 made of metal is drawn along an outer periphery of the pivot mounting pin 52 by collapse-movement of the column to the front side of the vehicle body after it and is plastically deformed.
