PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diskless boot system which keeps the consistency of data without deterioration of performance even if a client terminal changes a site. SOLUTION: The system has a plurality of sites and includes a plurality of storages. The storages have functions for copying data among the storages. A management server receives a connection request from a user via a client terminal, selects a new adequate storage based on the information of the user, and determines whether the new storage is the same as a storage which the user previously connected. In case that the new storage is the same as the previously connected storage, the management server notifies the client terminal of the address of the previously connected storage. In case that the new storage is different from the previously connected storage, the management server instructs the new storage to change the direction of a remote copy to the directions of other storages, which includes the previously connected storage and are allocated to the user, on the basis of the new storage as a base point, and notifies the client terminal of the address of the new storage after it confirms the completion of the change.
