PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for an automatic dish-washing and drying machine, not only exhibiting excellent detergency to a tea stain and ability for preventing resoiling with oil, about which an user of the dish-washing and drying machine worries most, but also simultaneously achieving the improvement of finish of glass and aluminum dishes; and to provide a method for removing the tea stain. SOLUTION: The detergent composition for the automatic dish-washing and drying machine comprises (A) citric acid (salt), (B) a macromolecular polycarboxylic acid (salt) and (C) a surfactant with low foamability, regulated so that the total content of the components (A) and (B) is 10-50 mass%, and provides 0.2 wt.% aqueous solution having pH 6.0-8.0. The method for removing the tea stain involves cleaning the dishes in the automatic dish-washing and drying machine by using the aqueous solution of the detergent composition in the above composition.
